Logistics and transport accessibility

Sverdlovsk region is located in the middle of the Russian Federation, at the crossroads of trade and logistics routes. It is the third largest transportation hub of the country, one of the best in the CIS.

One of the largest aviation hubs of the Russian Federation airport «Koltsovo» is located in the Ekaterinburg. About 70 airlines operate regular flights to 110 cities around the world. Airport passenger traffic – more than 6 million people a year.

Sverdlovsk railways is top three railroads of Russia, it provides transport and economic relations of the industrial areas of the Urals and Western Siberia with central, eastern and western regions of the Russian Federation and foreign countries.

A large road junction is formed within the Ekaterinburg agglomeration on the basis of the ring road. Transport infrastructure of the region also includes companies which carry out passenger and freight transportation, rent vehicles, taxi services.

Hotel and congress infrastructure

There are more than 17 thousand rooms different levels from three to five stars in the hotels in the Sverdlovsk region. Large congress venues for implementing projects of any complexity and profile are created in Ekaterinburg: Boris Yeltsin Presidential Center, the culture center «Ural», the international trade center «Ekaterinburg», the President and Palladium business centers. In June 2019 the modern Ekaterinburg-EXPO congress center was opened: transformable halls for 5000 seats, a total area is 41 600 m2, 14 conference rooms for 500 people, 14 meeting rooms.
